Walsall FC Foundation are teaming up with other club foundations across the West Midlands for an exciting new ‘Tour De Midlands’ charity cycle event on Sunday, 7th June 2026.The 40-mile route will take in the region’s professional football grounds – stopping off at Villa Park, St Andrews, Molineux, The Hawthorns and the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium during the challenge.
The event will start and finish at the iconic Alexander Stadium – the largest athletics venue of its kind in the UK.
Fundraisers from Walsall FC Foundation will join others representing Aston Villa Foundation, Birmingham City Foundation, Wolves Foundation,
The Albion Foundation and Walsall FC Foundation, to put pedal to the metal in support of our club charity’s work across the local community.
Former players and ambassadors from across the five football clubs will be taking part to raise money for the cause.
Scott Brotherton, Business Development and Communications Manager at Walsall FC Foundation and former Bescot Banter columnist, said: "We are delighted to be taking part in this fantastic new event alongside other Midlands clubs.
"Across the network of club foundations, we all do important work in our local communities, and this event will be a great opportunity to showcase our clubs’ official charities in Birmingham and the Black Country.
"As Walsall FC Foundation is a registered charity, we rely on funding and donations to deliver our projects across the Borough, and fundraising events like these are great to be involved in.
"We’re excited to join up with Blues, Villa, West Brom and Wolves, and are calling on all Saddlers fans to get on board and take on the challenge!"
Registration for the challenge is £35, including a unique Tour de Midlands t-shirt and medal, with participants encouraged to raise a minimum of £150 for Walsall FC Foundation.
The event is for adults (18+) only, and places are limited for each Foundation on a first-come first-serve basis – so sign up now before they’re gone!
