
Walsall boss Mat Sadler praised his side after they bounced back from going two goals down to secure a point away to Chesterfield on Saturday afternoon.
Falling behind to goals from Will Grigg and Dilan Markanday after just 20 minutes of play, the Saddlers halved the deficit via Daniel Kanu before the break, with Albert Adomah levelling the scores on the hour mark.
Speaking to the assembled media, Sadler said: "It's clear that I'm going to talk about the fight, the heart, the character and the desire.
"I just said to the players then that all of the words that can be meaningless; that was the reference to it.
"There was bravery on the ball, a willingness to work hard, make sure we stuck in the game, and then we got our rewards for that.
"We were probably disappointed not to win the game in the end. Myles made a really good save at the end, but in the main, it felt like we were the team in control in the second half."
