There are a handful of Saddlers currently out on loan, with players from the academy and first-team looking to impress and potentially force their way into Mat Sadler's first-team plans.

Will Etheridge • Stourbridge
Will was named in the starting XI as Stourbridge welcomed Real Bedford to the War Memorial Athletic Ground on Saturday afternoon.

The Glassboys were up for the contest and went into the lead via Jack Newall with just a minute of the game played, the visitors failing to clear their lines.

Will grew into the game and saw a free kick saved early in the second-half, the scholar keeping the Bedford stopper alert.

The young midfielder continued to be part of the Glassboys' attack and went on to add to his display with a superb goal from the edge of the area after Brad Bood had seen an effort punched clear.

Will was given a great reception from the fans as he was replaced by Dom Lewis with 80 minutes on the clock; a great afternoon for the youngster.

Bedford scored in second-half stoppage time, but they couldn't make it two as the Glassboys took all three points.

Ronan Maher • Tamworth
Ronan was named among the starters as the Lambs visited the Jakemans Community Stadium and took on Boston United in the National League.

The match wasn't exactly a spectacle, as the two sides took a share of the spoils with a goalless draw.

Josh Gordon • Barrow
Josh started and scored as Barrow suffered late heartbreak away to Fleetwood Town in one of League Two's early kick-offs.

Converting from the spot after the Cod Army goalkeeper had felled him inside the area, Josh was joined on the scoresheet by Niall Canavan as the Bluebirds led at the break.

However, in a second-half to forget, goals from Esapa Osong, Crispin McLean, and an unfortunate goalkeeper, Wyll Stanway, saw the home side snatch all three points.

Jago Godden • Drogheda United
Jago was a second-half substitute as the Drogs rescued a late draw away to Dundalk on Friday evening.

After the two teams played out a goalless first-half, Dundalk opened the scoring thirteen minutes into the second forty-five as Danny Mullen put the ball into Luke Dennison's goal.

Drogheda continued to prod and probe their opponents and were eventually rewarded as Conor Keeley levelled the scores late on as his side escaped with a point.

Jago was one of a trio of changes shortly after the hour mark as he replaced Shane Farrell in midfield.
