Walsall have a variety of injury issues heading into their midweek Sky Bet League Two meeting with Grimsby Town.

Beginning with the positives, on-loan Barnsley defender Kacper Lopata (thigh) has returned to fitness after managing just one appearance since making the short-term move to WS1 in January.

Captain Jamille Matt (hip) is fighting to be fit for the trip to Blundell Park, but may fall short after missing the last two games with a knee injury also causing the medical team some concern.

Former Drogheda United man Elicha Ahui (ACL) won't feature at all this season after suffering an injury during his recent loan with the Drogs.

Mat Sadler is yet to decide the defender's long-term future, with the gaffer still considering whether to activate a one-year extension in his current contract.

Other long-term absentee Harry Williams (ACL) is also unlikely to feature this season.
