Walsall have confirmed the signing of Birmingham City midfielder Alfie Chang, who returns to the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium for his second spell on a permanent deal until the end of the season.• Chang agreed to contract termination with parent club Birmingham City

A product of the Blues' youth system, 23-year-old Chang first joined the Saddlers a year ago and would go on to make eight first-team appearances after initially struggling to break into the team.
After returning to his parent club in the summer, Chang has spent the first half of the current campaign on loan with Bristol Rovers, where he made nineteen appearances, before his Blues contract was mutually terminated.
In a career blighted by injury, Alfie had made just twenty-one Blues appearances since turning professional in 2021, after suffering a series of setbacks, but is now looking to get more minutes under his belt as he returns to familiar territory.
Saddlers Head Coach Mat Sadler admitted he is thrilled to have Alfie back in the building and is looking forward to working with him again.
Speaking via the club's official website, Sadler said: "I'm delighted to have secured Alfie's service again.
"He's a player who we all know really well from his first spell with us, and we've followed his time on loan at Bristol Rovers closely, where he had a positive first half of the season.
"We're thankful that we've had the help of Birmingham City, and it's fallen into place for Alfie to be with us for the second half of the season, and we're looking forward to integrating him into the squad."
