Alfie Chang: "It's a Pleasure to be Back"

The midfielder has returned to the Saddlers on a contract until the end of the season.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsFollowing the news that he'd made a permanent move to the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, Alfie Chang has spoken of his desire to help the team achieve its goals.

Agreeing a contract termination with Birmingham City in order to complete the move to WS1, Chang admitted that the faith shown in him by Mat Sadler was one of the reasons he made the move.

After spending the first half of the season on loan with Bristol Rovers, Alfie is ready and raring to go as he and his teammates look to climb back into the promotion race.

Speaking via the club's official website, Alfie said: "It's a pleasure to be back at Walsall.

"I really enjoyed my time here last season so when the opportunity came to come back and play football here it was a great feeling.

"I've had positive conversations with the gaffer, I knew earlier in the window that he was keen to bring me back.

"He's shown a lot of faith and interest in me as a player and as a person which I'm grateful for and there's been interest there for a while so I'm glad it's all sorted now.

"We're right in the mix again this season and myself and the team will be going out for promotion, that's the main goal and I'm looking forward to playing my part in that and hopefully we can do just that and achieve what we want to achieve."
