Walsall have confirmed the signing of Bradford City midfielder Alex Pattison, who arrives at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium on an 18-month contract.28-year-old Pattison, an attacking midfielder who is the Saddlers' first signing of the January Transfer Window, has made sixteen appearances so far this season, scoring two goals.
Darlington-born Pattison began his playing career with Middlesbrough’s academy system, rising through the ranks before being invited to train with the first-team in 2016.
Loan spells with York City and Yeovil Town would follow before he made a permanent move to Wycombe Wanderers in 2019, where he would go on to make thirty first-team appearances for the Chairboys.
Pattison then went on to join Harrogate Town in May 2021, and earned eighty-six first-team appearances before he switched to the Bantams.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Mat Sadler welcomed Alex to the club, he said: "I’m really happy to secure Alex’s signature.
"Alex is a strong leader both off the pitch and on it in the midfield area, plays very box-to-box and likes to progress forwards with the ball.
"He’s an all-action midfielder, and we’re delighted to have signed him – we’ve had to work extremely hard to do that amongst all the interest that he has had, and we can’t wait for him to get started with us."
The transfer is subject to FA and EFL approval.
