Walsall boss Mat Sadler has admitted his team was out of sorts as they and Notts County played out a goalless draw on Saturday afternoon.
With the game seeing the two teams at the top of the table battling it out for the Christmas number 1, it was something of an action-free game, with the Saddlers managing just one shot on goal.
Though they avoided defeat on the road, Sadler admitted his team lacked energy, with several players struck by illness during the build up to kick-off.
Speaking to the media shortly after full-time, the gaffer said: "There wasn't many opportunities, but there were lots of balls coming into the box, and we defended our penalty area very well.
"We just didn't have the same level of energy as we normally have. There are a lot of bugs going around at the minute.
"The camp have had that this week and quite a few guys have been struck down with that. It looked a little bit like that, too.
"I have to give credit to everybody because we all grafted together. And it wasn't quite going our way, it wasn't quite how we want to play.
"But credit to them for coming away with something."
