There are a handful of Saddlers currently out on loan, with players from the academy and first-team looking to impress and potentially force their way into Mat Sadler's first-team plans.
Harrison Barber, Sam Oliver — Dudley Town
Harrison and Sam were both named in the Robins' starting XI that faced Romulus at the Guardian Warehousing Arena on Tuesday evening.
It was a match to remember for young goalkeeper Barber as he was called into action in the early knockings, and was able to rise to the occasion as he superbly saved an early penalty to keep the scores level.
The home side went on to thrash their visitors, as goals from Jordan Davies (27'), former Saddler Tom Owen (37'), Harry Crook (45', 55'), Kyle Moseley (50'), and Sean Devlin (81') saw them ease to victory 6-1, securing three welcome points.
Kyle Batchelor (53') scored for the Roms, but that was nothing more than a consolation, as they simply had no answer to the Robins' attack.
Ronan Maher — Tamworth
Ronan was named in the starting XI as the Lambs took on Darlaston Town in the Second Round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.
The match was a comfortable one for Tamworth, as goals from Jordan Cullinane-Liburd, Joe Rye, and Oli Lynch saw them secure their place in the next round.
Ronan was as driven and determined as ever, creating a handful of openings as well as providing an assist for Cullinane-Liburd's goal, although, he didn't complete the contest as he was replaced by Ben Acquaye with seventeen minutes of the game remaining as the manager looked at some of his options.
Josh Gordon — Barrow
Josh retained his starting spot and completed the game as the Bluebirds welcomed Tranmere Rovers to the SO Legal Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Sadly for Gordon and his side, the match was a disappointing one, as goals from Charlie Whitaker, Joe Ironside, and Kristian Dennis saw the visitors take all three points.
Barrow's chances weren't helped by Niall Canavan's late red card, although they were already two-goals down by the time he saw red.
