Walsall Sign AFC Bournemouth Striker Jonny Stuttle

The Saddlers have added more firepower to their attacking ranks.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall have confirmed the signing of AFC Bournemouth forward Jonny Stuttle, who arrives at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium on a season-long loan.

19-year-old Stuttle, enjoyed loan spells Aldershot and Farnborough last season and is keen to take the step-up to League Two with the Saddlers.

Weymouth-born Stuttle joined the Cherries' academy as an 11-year-old, and has made his way through the ranks, earning plenty of suitors along the way,

Not least for his 42 goals in 35 games for the under-16s that saw him earn a scholarship and an EFL Youth Alliance winners’ medal to boot.

Saddlers Head Coach Mat Sadler was the first to welcome Jonny to the club, speaking via the club's official website, he said: "We're really excited to have Jonny in the building and to be working with him this season.

"He’s come in right at the start of pre-season, which we think is really important because it allows us to understand him a bit more and for him to understand what we want from him.

"He's a well-rounded forward who will add something different to our attacking options that we already have at the football club, and we're pleased to once again have been trusted with the development of another young forward.

"He had a really positive loan spell last season at Farnborough in the second half of the season, so now it's about how we can aid him in the next part of his professional development.

"We ended up beating off a lot of competition to secure the signing of Jonny for the season, and we feel that with our record of improving, nurturing and looking after young players, that put us at the front of the queue and once again we'd like to thank Bournemouth for trusting us with this next step in his development."
