Walsall midfielder Jamie Jellis has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsThe Club has issued a brief statement confirming that midfielder Jamie Jellis has been charged with misconduct for allegedly breaching Football Association betting rules.

The FA allege that Jellis, who joined the Saddlers from Tamworth in January 2024, placed 2,248 bets on football matches between Tuesday, 30th April 2019 and Tuesday, 4th July 2023.

Jamie Jellis has been charged with misconduct for allegedly breaching The FA's Betting Rules.
It's alleged that the Walsall player breached FA Rule E8 by placing 2,248 bets on football matches between 30 April 2019 and 04 July 2023.
Jamie Jellis has until Monday 28 July to provide a response.

Issued via their official website, Walsall's statement reads: The FA have informed us that Jamie Jellis has been charged with misconduct for allegedly breaching their betting rules.

The alleged offences took place between 30 April 2019 and 04 July 2023. He has until Monday 28th July to provide a response.

We will be supporting Jamie throughout the process. The club will make no further comment at this stage.
