Walsall to Face Shrewsbury Town & Northampton Town in EFL Trophy Group Stage

The Saddlers will be taking on the Cobblers and Shrews in the group stage of the EFL Trophy.

Walsall have been drawn into Group C of the Southern Section of the 2025/26 Vertu Trophy, with Mat Sadler's men set to face some familiar opposition.

Drawn alongside Northampton Town and Shrewsbury Town, the Saddlers will discover which invited club they will face at 2.30pm on Thursday, 26th June, with the draw taking place live on Sky Sports News.

Invited clubs we could face are as follows:

Arsenal U21

Aston Villa U21

Brighton & Hove Albion U21

Chelsea U21

Crystal Palace U21

Fulham U21

Tottenham Hotspur U21

West Ham United U21

Vertu Trophy Group Stage matches will commence in early September, with dates to be confirmed following the EFL’s Fixture Release Day on Thursday, 26th June.
