Ryan Stirk to Join Chesterfield After Rejecting Walsall Offer

The former Welsh youth international has agreed to make the move to Derbyshire.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall midfielder Ryan Stirk has rejected the Saddlers' offer of a new contract and agreed to join their League Two rivals Chesterfield at the conclusion of his current deal on Tuesday, 1st July. 

24-year-old, Birmingham-born Stirk, who was part of the Walsall team that knocked the Spireites out of the League Two Play-Offs, arrived in WS1 from Birmingham City in July 2023, and went on to make 97 first-team appearances, scoring four goals.

As you can read below, Walsall released a brief statement, confirming Stirk's impending departure before wishing him well for the future.

Ryan Stirk has rejected our offer of a new contract to take up an opportunity elsewhere.
Ryan played 97 times during his two years with the Saddlers, and we would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future.
