20-year-old Maher graduated through Walsall's academy and has made twenty-nine first-team appearances for the Saddlers, scoring once.
Along with his first-team exploits, Ronan also enjoyed two spells on loan at Tamworth last season. He played a total of 14 times for The Lambs and registered three goals and three assists, including an equaliser against League One side Burton Albion in the Emirates FA Cup.
He also had a successful loan spell with Rushall Olympic during the 2023-24 season where he netted four goals and laid on six assists in National League North.
Speaking about his new deal, Maher said: "I am over the moon.
"I have been here since I was 12-years-old so I am carrying on now for another two years which is good so I am happy.
"I am grateful to the gaffer, Ben and Nick for sorting out the contract so I am happy to be here.
"I have gone out on loan twice to Rushall Olympic and Tamworth, I have learnt my trade, got over 70 senior appearances now so I think now definitely this season I am ready to make my mark in the first team and make a real impact.
"The loan spells were really beneficial. Rushall, when I was 18 two years ago, getting 25/30 games there was good and then obviously Tamworth last season in the National League, which is a good league, and playing a good amount of games there and doing well as well, it has really given me a boost."
