Walsall's Released & Retained Has Been Confirmed

Plans for next season are well underway as the club confirms which players will remain in WS1.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsThe Club has confirmed its Released and Retained list following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Sky Bet League Two campaign.

After seeing a twelve point top-of-the-table lead erode into a place in the Play-Offs, the Saddlers were defeated 1-0 by AFC Wimbledon in the recent Final, leaving the club facing a seventh successive season in the fourth tier.

With several first-team players due to be out of contract at the end of June, its likely to be another season of change at the Bescot Stadium as the manager looks to go one better and gain promotion to League One.

Definitely leaving the club are goalkeeper George Barrett, who has spent much of his time out on loan, club captain Doneervon Daniels, midfielder Jack Earing, and striker Danny Johnson.

The Club has also confirmed that Apprentice of the Season Jenson Kilroy has been offered his first professional contract, whilst scholar Charlie Wragg will remain for at least another season after having an option triggered.

Defender Oisin McEntee will depart the club, with the former Newcastle United expected to complete a move to Scottish Premiership side Hearts in July.
