Sam Perry started as Leamington made the trip to the Brewery Field and took on Spennymoor Town in the Vanarama National League North on Tuesday evening.

Looking to bounce back from last weekend's disappointing defeat to Peterborough Sports, the Brakes created a handful of goal-scoring opportunities on what would be an evening to forget in County Durham.

The match was decided by Jake Day's second-half header, with the 31-year-old putting the ball beyond on-loan West Bromwich Albion stopper Ted Cann shortly before the match reached the hour mark,

Sam played for the full ninety minutes but wasn't able to help his side to victory with the Brakes now sitting outside the National League North relegation zone on goal difference after making it four games without a win.
