Liam Bennett Recalled: Cambridge United Take up Option to End Saddlers Spell

Walsall FC have been dealt a major blow as one of their star performers has been recalled by his parent club.

The Club has confirmed that Cambridge United have exercised their option to recall defender Liam Bennett from his loan spell at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

21-year-old Bennett made some twenty-five first-team appearances during his time in WS1, entering a string of Man of the Match-worthy displays.

Along with his energetic and creative displays, Liam was also able to score his first professional goal during a defeat to Mansfield Town back in October.

We would like to join all at the club in thanking Liam for his efforts and contributions during his time with Walsall and wish him every success in the future.
