Walsall defenders Joe Foulkes and Rollin Menayese and midfielders Sam Perry and Brendan Kiernan and young striker Shay Willock are currently out on loan as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

Foulkes is enjoying a second spell with National League North with Kidderminster Harriers, whilst Menayese and Kiernan remained in League Two with season-long stays at Hartlepool United and Grimsby Town respectively.

Sam Perry is with National League outfit Yeovil Town whilst second-year scholar Willock is on work experience with Hellenic League Premier Division side Worcester Raiders.

Brendan Kiernan retained his place in the starting line-up as the Mariners played host to Swindon Town on Saturday afternoon.

Looking to build upon last weekend's 1-0 win over Colchester United, Grimsby were left frustrated as goals from Luke Jephcott and Ronan Darcy netted for Swindon either side of Ryan Taylor's 35th-minute effort, saw the visitors take all three points.

Kiernan, who has now made eleven first-team appearances since joining Town on a season-long loan, created a couple of openings as well as having an effort on goal of his own before being placed by Otis Khan at half-time.

Rollin Menayese was a second-half substitute (Mouhamed Niang, 58') as Hartlepool and Gillingham players out a goalless draw, the result meaning Pools are still winless in the league so far this season.

Along with the failure to win, the afternoon also saw Keith Curle's side slip to the foot of the table as Rochdale secured all three points thanks to Devante Rodney's first-half penalty against Colchester.

Joe Foulkes started as Kidderminster thrashed Kettering Town by three-goals-to-nil at Latimer Park on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Yusifu Ceesay, Krystian Pearce and Ethan Freemantle saw the Harrier take a three-goal lead into the break, a lead they wouldn't surrender.

Joe played for ninety minutes but was eventually replaced by Kai Lissimore as manager Russ Penn looked to run down the clock on the way to three welcome points.

Sam Perry wasn't involved as Yeovil and Boreham Wood played out a one-all draw at Huish Park on Saturday afternoon.

A goal from Glovers forward Alex Fisher (39') put the home side into the lead but wasn't enough to secure the win as Jack Payne levelled the scores just before the half-time break.
