Walsall defender Joe Foulkes and midfielder Joe Willis are currently away on short-term loan deals as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

Defender Foulkes is plying his trade in the Vanarama National League North with Kidderminster Harriers, whilst midfielder Willis is with Southern League Premier Division Central side Bromsgrove Sporting.

Joe Willis was named in the starting eleven as his Bromsgrove Sporting side made the trip to Hayden Road and took on AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central.

Looking to build upon their narrow victory over Needham Market, the Rouslers had to ride the wave on several occasions before ultimately falling behind to Nathan Tshikuna's goal just five-minutes before half-time.

Their hosts went on to double their lead via Connor Furlong some seventeen minutes before full-time, but didn't have it all their own way as Jamie Molyneux halved the deficit as the game went into second-half stoppage time.

Sadly, for the Rouslers, they were unable to get themselves back on level terms, but weren't overly punished as all of the teams currently battling to avoid the drop also suffered defeat on Saturday afternoon.
