PRE-MATCH VIEWS
Walsall arrive at the match on the back of a duo of draws, with Northampton Town and Barrow AFC respectively, and go in search of more points as they hope to add to their steadily increasing advantage over the teams in the relegation zone.

After opening 2022 with a string of seven defeats in eight games, the Reds have finally turned a corner and look more than capable of securing safety before we reach the business end of the campaign.

Though this season will never be seen as a success, the players have ample opportunity to climb towards the top half of the table before the season comes to an end, something which would give all supporters a better feeling heading into another summer of change,

This weekend's match will see over 1,200 extra fans in attendance as the club's Community Programme welcomes children from several local schools to the Banks's in a bid to find the fans of the future.

Opponents Sutton United arrive at the match in fourth position and on the back of three consecutive victories including last weekend's three-nil victory over Rochdale and their midweek EFL Trophy - Semi-Final victory over Wigan Athletic, a result which books their place at the Final against fellow winners Rotherham United.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
Walsall and Sutton United have met on just one previous occasion, with the match taking place at Gander Freen Lane on Saturday, 30th October 2021, and seeing Tyrese Shade's superb goal being enough to separate the sides.

MAN IN THE MIDDLE
The EFL has confirmed that Scott Oldham, who is based in Lancashire, will be the man in the middle, whilst Paul Stonier and Geoffrey Russell have been named assistant referees. Ollie Williams will act as Fourth Official.
