Walsall defender Joe Foulkes and midfielder Joe Willis are currently away on short-term loan deals as they look to force their way into Michael Flynn's first-team plans.

Defender Foulkes is plying his trade in the Vanarama National League North with Kidderminster Harriers, whilst midfielder Willis is with Southern League Premier Division Central side Bromsgrove Sporting.

Joe Foulkes was named in the starting XI as Kidderminster made the trip to St. James Park and took on Brackley Town with a view to winning their first league game in five attempts.

However, during what was another disappointing afternoon for Russ Penn's Harriers, Lee Ndlovu's second-half goal was enough to secure the points for second-placed Brackley, who kept pace with league leaders Gateshead.

Kidderminster created a hatful of goal-scoring opportunities but were unable to get the best of goalkeeper Danny Lewis as their chances of securing automatic promotion look to be over as the Tynesiders now enjoy a sixteen-point advantage over fourth-placed Kidderminster.

Meanwhile, Joe Willis was a second-half substitute as Bromsgrove Sporting played host to Biggleswade Town on Saturday afternoon with the Rouslers looking to halt a run of form which had seen them lose their last four league games ahead of kick-off.

However, the Victoria Ground side suffered the same fate as Kidderminster as Liam Smyth's goal, eleven-minutes into the second-half was enough to secure the points for the visitors as Sporting's struggles continued.

Taking the place of Jamie Molyneux with thirteen-minutes of the game remaining, Willis was unable to inspire a comeback and will no doubt be looking to have a bigger impact upon proceedings as attention turns to next Saturday's clash with Barwell.
