The club has confirmed the signing of Leicester City forward Tyrese Shade, who arrives at the Banks's on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old becomes the club’s twelfth signing of the summer, having impressed for the Foxes under 23s last season, where he scored seven times in Premier League 2.

Tyrese also featured six times overall in the Papa John’s Trophy, scoring once in the competition.

The exciting attacker began his career at Birmingham City’s academy and also had a spell at Solihull Moors before joining Leicester in 2017

Birmingham-based Shade also has international caps to his name for St Kitts & Nevis Under 20s.

Walsall Head Coach Matt Taylor admitted he is pleased to secure Shade’s signature, and is looking forward to working with him.

Speaking via the club's official website, Taylor, who had recently admitted he was looking to add 'one or two' forwards to his squad, said; "We’re really happy.

"It’s been a protracted transfer and Tyrese is someone we identified early in the process of coming into the football club that he would give us an opportunity to stretch teams, and we’re really happy that we’ve managed to get the deal over the line.

"It’s taken time, and I’m excited for the players to see Tyrese in training, but more importantly for the fans because he’ll be a player that will excite them and take risks in the final third.

"He’s had a fantastic education football wise with Leicester, and we’re really pleased we’ve managed to get him on board."
