The club has confirmed that Tranmere Rovers defender Manny Monthé has agreed terms on a move to Banks's Stadium, becoming the Saddlers' third new arrival since the appointment of Matthew Taylor.
The six-foot-four defender, who has penned a two-year deal, will officially join the Saddlers on Thursday, 1st July upon the expiry of his contract at Prenton Park.
Monthé, 26, arrives with a wealth of experience having won three consecutive play-off finals (two National League and one Sky Bet League Two) from 2017 to 2019.
The Cameroonian has spent the last three and a half years at Tranmere, having joined on loan in February 2018 before making the move permanent later that summer.
He helped the Super White Army reach the Football League in 2018. Tranmere then went on to win back-to-back promotions a year later with Monthé featuring 54 times in all competitions, scoring twice, as the club reached Sky Bet League One.
2019-20 saw Tranmere relegated to League Two via the points-per-game calculation following the curtailment of the season. Monthé made 44 appearances last season as they reached the play-offs once again, this time falling at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Morecambe.
His first taste of play-off final victory came in the 2016-17 season for Forest Green Rovers during his first season in Gloucestershire.
Monthé began his career at Queens Park Rangers. He was loaned out to Southport in 2014 before he left Loftus Road for Whitehawk later that year.
He also had spells at Tonbridge Angels, Heybridge Swifts, Hayes & Yeading, Havant & Waterlooville and Bath City.
Saddlers head coach Matt Taylor spoke to club journalists and welcomed his newest signing. Speaking via the club's official website, he said; "I’m really happy to bring Manny to the club.

"He’s a player we identified as somebody who would fit into our structure and the way we want to play. He’s played a lot of football over the last two years and had exposure to League One with Tranmere.
"He’s hungry for success and his ambition matches ours which is fantastic. It’s a real show of intent from the football club that we’re able to secure a player of Manny’s calibre for the level we’re at for Walsall Football Club so I’m really happy.
"I think the fans will see performances from him and characteristics that resonate with the people of Walsall."
