Following the news that he'd agreed terms on a move to the Saddlers, Tranmere Rovers defender Manny Monthé has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the chance to join the club.
The six-foot-four defender, who has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal, will officially join the Saddlers on Thursday, 1st July upon the expiry of his contract at Prenton Park.
The 26-year-old arrives at the club with a wealth of experience behind him, including three consecutive Play-Off final victories - two in the National League and one in League Two.
The Cameroonian has spent the last three-and-a-half years with Tranmere, having initially joined on loan in February 2018 before making the move permanent later that year
Manny helped the Super White Army return to the Football League in 2018 where Rovers went on to win back-to-back promotions a year later with Monthé featuring fifty-four times in all competitions, scoring twice.
2019/20 saw Tranmere relegated back to League Two via the points-per-game calculation following the curtailment of the season. Monthé made a further forty-four appearances last season as they reached the Play-Offs once again, this time falling at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Morecambe.
Speaking via the club's official website, Manny discussed his delight at joining the club before letting fans know what to expect when he pulls on the shirt, he said; "I’m very delighted to be here.
