Walsall Linked With Halifax Town Midfielder Jack Earing

The Club is being linked with a move for a highly rated midfield prospect.
Walsall keen to sign Halifax Town midfielder Jack Earing.
Walsall are said to be closing in on their fourth signing of the summer as former Halifax Town man Jack Earing has been linked with a switch to the Saddlers.

Earing, who is out of contract at the end of the month, has spent two seasons with the National League side but has turned down a new deal after attracting interest from a slew of clubs in the EFL.

Walsall, who have already confirmed the signing of Conor Wilkinson, Joss Labadie, and Manny Monthé are said to be leading the race for his signature, although there is still plenty of opportunity for other clubs to swoop in and sign Jack themselves.

The Bury-born midfielder is a product of Bolton Wanderers' academy system and, after rising through the ranks at the UoB Stadium, made a handful of appearances for the Trotters, whilst also enjoying a loan spell with Curzon Ashton

After moving to the Shay and spending time on loan with Spennymoor Town and Farsley Celtic, Jack became a regular first-teamer for Halifax during the 2020/21 National League campaign where he netted eight goals in thirty-two appearances helping the Shaymen to a 10th place finish.

Earing has also been linked with the likes of Barrow, Cambridge United, Oldham Athletic and Swindon Town, but the Saddlers are said to be hopeful of securing a deal, with news expected to be released in due course.
