2020/21 End of Season Awards: And the Winners Are...

As Covid-19 continues to force fans to watch their team from home, the 2020/21 End of Season Awards have been revealed via social media.
Following the conclusion of their 2020/21 League Two campaign, Walsall FC have revealed who has been acknowledged for their performances in the End of Season Awards.

As with last season, the club opted to reveal the names of this season's award winners via their social media channels, and you can find all the news on who has been named Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season along with learning which strike has been named 'Goal of the Season', below.

Liam Kinsella has been named both the Supporter’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.

The midfielder has featured 46 times in all competitions during the 2020/21 season and stood out for his consistent, hardworking, and battling displays. Fellow academy graduate Sam Perry picked up the Young Player of the Year award.

The 19-year-old was handed his league debut in February and has excelled in the Saddlers midfield. He also opened his account in professional football with a stunning goal against Bolton Wanderers.

Emmanuel Osadebe’s sensational strike against Tranmere Rovers in April was voted as our Goal of the Season by the fans.

Elsewhere, James Clarke won the Community Player of the Year award while Luke Zona was named as Apprentice of the Year.

There were eight winners for this year’s Long Service Award. They are Head Groundsman Paul Mason, Club Accountant Michelle Draisey, Ian Wood, Phil Baker, Phil Cotterill, Tony Bailey, Eddie Padmore, and Cliff Jones.

We would like to join the club in saying a special thank you to them all for their outstanding service and dedication to the club over so many years.

Finally, for this year’s Fan of the Season award, the club would like to dedicate it to every supporter who left their season ticket money in the club.
