With Liam Roberts recently returning to form, Solihull-born Rose has had to make do with a place on the bench since he last featured in the Saddlers' FA Cup First Round draw with Darlington on 9th November.
Whilst 24-year-old Rose was unable to keep his sheet clean as the Saddlers' second-string slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Mansfield Town, he insisted he was delighted to get some time on the pitch,
Speaking via the club's official website, Jack said; "I was buzzing to get ninety minutes. Obviously it’s been a while for me so it’s good to get out there and get a match under your belt.
"I thought the lads tried hard, their goal was our own undoing and we should have done a lot better with that goal and ultimately it’s cost us the game."
Rose went on to insist he will keep pushing for a place in the first-team and is keen to make use of the upcoming development games as he seeks to give manager Darrell Clarke a decision to make.
Jack continued; "All I can do is look after myself like everyone else on the pitch. As long as you try your hardest and give everything, hopefully your ability will takeover that. I think I played well as well.
"Wherever I can get a game I’ll look to play and that’s all I need really, just to get some games under my belt and then hopefully away we go."
