Walsall have taken former Manly United defender Lewis Miccio on trial as manager Darrell Clarke looks to add to his squad with plenty of tough games yet to come.
21-year-old Miccio, who can play both as a left-back and central defender, was named in the Saddlers team which took on Chasetown in the Second Round of the Walsall Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.
The Sydney-born prospect, who moved to New Zealand at the age of three before returning to Australia some thirteen years later, joined Manly from Central Coast Mariners - a club where he enjoyed four years at various levels - in the summer of 2018, and has gone on to enter several promising performances.
