Kory Roberts Named on the Bench as Injury Nightmare Nears an End

Walsall defender Kory Roberts has taken a major step in his bid to return to action as he has been named in the Saddlers' starting XI for their EFL Trophy - Southern Group D clash with Southampton Under-21s.
Birmingham-born Roberts has missed over a year of football after suffering a double leg break during a pre-season 2018/19 clash with Stoke City, and has been working with Head Physio Marc Czuczman and other specialists ever since.

Kory had recently been spotted taking part in a warm up session ahead of the Saddlers' recent League Two victory over Scunthorpe United and will no doubt be keen to get back in action as soon as possible.

Kory's potential return will serve as a major boost to manager Darrell Clarke as he will have another versatile option at the back as the 21-year-old is able to operate as both right-back and central defender.
