Stuart Sinclair: 'We've Got to Keep Working Hard'

Walsall midfielder Stuart Sinclair has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's League Two clash with Bradford City and admitted that he believes everyone at the club needs to stick together to ensure they get their season back on track as quickly as possible.
The Saddlers have endured a dismal start to the 2019/20 campaign with the team winless in their last eight outings. And whilst the defence is able to secure welcome clean-sheets, the attacking line is struggling to make an impact, scoring just one goal in their last six games.

But 31-year-old Sinclair, who has so far made eight first-team appearances since arriving at WS1 from Bristol Rovers over the summer, is adamant that things will soon pick up – with recent performances being better than results.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Stuart said; "It’s nearly there, performance wise we’re so close. We’ve just got to keep working hard on the training ground to create those partnerships.

"Partnerships are hard to create, it does take time, especially with forwards because a lot of it is off the cuff. Making sure we stick together is incredibly important.

"We’ve got a lot of good young footballers and we need to make sure as a club we stick together and encourage those footballers to progress and show us what they have."

Sinclair will likely be among the starters this weekend as manager Darrell Clarke looks to guide his side to just their second league win of the season as they welcome the Bantams to the Banks's on Saturday afternoon.
