Clarke Working to Sign New Winger Ahead of Transfer Deadline

Walsall manager Darrell Clarke has spoken to the press and confirmed that he is hoping to add a wide player to his squad ahead of today's 5pm Transfer Deadline.
The manager has seen his side fail to build upon their opening day victory over Northampton Town as they have failed to win any of their six subsequent all-competition games, scoring just four goals in the process.

The Mansfield-born boss has already added sixteen players to his side, including recent acquisition Rory Gaffney, and is hoping to bring in one more before the window slams shut this afternoon.

Clarke said; "I’m still looking for another wide player. We have got an offer in for a loan for a high level wide player. And I have got two or three behind that if that falls through."
