One of the players rumoured to be heading for the exit at Banks's Stadium is last season's top-scorer, Andy Cook, who has been linked with a return to former club, Grimsby Town.
28-year-old Cook, who bagged eighteen goals during his debut season in the Black Country, is said to be the transfer target of the Mariners as they look to bolster their strikeforce ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
The Bishop Auckland-born striker, who began his career at Carlisle United before joining Barrow in 2011, spent a two-year spell at Blundell Park between 2012 and 2014 where he netted just twenty-two goals in ninety-five appearances.
Cook, who joined Walsall from then-National League Play-Off winners Tranmere Rovers in the summer of 2018, is also said to be on the Super Whites' transfer radar with the Prenton Park club considering a move to take him back to the Wirral following their League Two Play-Off Final win over Newport County.
BBC Humberside Sport have confirmed that Grimsby are interested in signing Andy Cook but that interest is yet to result in an official approach with the club continuing to asses its options with several rumours currently doing the rounds.

If a bid is ultimately forthcoming Walsall are likely to put up a fight to retain Cook's services as they look to steady the ship following last season's disappointing relegation to League Two.
It is important to take rumours with a pinch of salt as we're neck deep in silly season with agents happy to get their player in the public eye should a rumoured deal result in another club making a move.
