Liam Kinsella Named Walsall's PFA Community Champion

Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella has continued his successful awards season by being named as the club’s PFA Community Champion for 2018/19.
Nominated by Walsall FC's Community Programme, the award celebrates the player who has made the outstanding contribution to the local community.

Kinsella, who was also named Young Player of the Season and Community Player of the Season, has taken part in a host of community visits over the course of the season, including meeting children at Soccer Schools, and visiting local primary school events with WFCCP.

The 23-year-old was also announced as the club’s 2018/19 PFA Player Ambassador for Sports Participation in September, after he spoke of his passion to get children active and involved in sport.

Speaking via the club's official website, Liam said; "I’m really proud to have won the award. There have been some really enjoyable visits in the community this year and I was pleased to be a part of them.

"As footballers, we are really privileged to do what we do, so I always try to give something back where I can."

Adam Davy, WFCCP Community Director, added; "Liam has been the standout player in the community this season, and is a deserving winner of Community Player of the Year.

"It’s clear he really understands the importance being involved in the local community, and the impact he can have. We’d also like to thank all of the Walsall players and staff for their support of community visits throughout the campaign."
