We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Walsall defender Peter Skipper, who has died aged 61.
Peter Dennis Skipper was born in Hull on Friday, 11th April 1958, a central defender by trade, after being scouted playing minor football Peter would go on to make well over three-hundred appearances over two spells for his hometown club.

His career was not simply confined to Hull however, he also displayed his wares for the likes of Darlington, Oldham Athletic, Wrexham, Wigan Athletic, Stafford Rangers, and Wigan Athletic, going on to make over six-hundred appearances during a near twenty-five year career.

Peter joined Walsall in 1989 and would go on to make ninety-nine appearances, scoring three goals, before departing for Wrexham in 1992.

We would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Peter's family, friends, and fans during this sad time.
