Keates Keen to Secure Third Round Spot

Walsall manager Dean Keates has spoken to club journalists ahead of this weekend's Emirates FA Cup - Second Round clash with Sunderland, and admitted that he is hoping his side will be in the hat for the next round of the competition, with the so-called ‘big boys’ joining the tournament in the next round.
The Saddlers play host to the Black Cats for the second successive weekend, and the gaffer is hoping that his players will be able to feed off the atmosphere at Banks's Stadium, just like they did during last weekend’s entertaining two-all draw, which saw the Reds surrender a two-goal lead to take a share of the spoils.

Speaking via the club's official website - www.Saddlers.co.uk - Dean said; "It’s the next game of football so it becomes the most important one for us. It’s the FA Cup and we all know what happens in the next round, the big boys come in. It is something we want the football club to be a part of.

"We want to win the match - it doesn’t matter whether it is in the league or the FA Cup. We are going out there to get the win and hopefully we will be in the hat for the next round of the draw. The atmosphere will be great again, as it was last weekend.

"Hopefully our players will use it and it’ll breath confidence into them and all being well, we can be in the third-round draw."
