Dan Vann Returns to Walsall as Matlock Town Loan Comes to An End

Walsall defender Dan Vann has returned to the club after his loan move to Northern Premier League - Premier Division side Matlock Town was cut short as recently-appointed manager Dave Frecklington decided to send both Vann, and fellow loanee Luke Rawson of Chesterfield, back to their respective parent clubs.
The Gladiators, who recently saw manager Dave Hoole quit the club following a disastrous start to the season, have found points hard to come by over recent weeks with the side suffering six all-competition defeats in a row and will need to get some more points on the board soon if they are to avoid relegation.

Matlock Town can confirm that manager Dave Frecklington has decided to send defender Dan Vann of Walsall and forward Luke Rawson of Chesterfield back to their parent clubs.

We would like to thank Dan and Luke for their time with the club and wish them all the best for the future.

Academy product Dann, who was excited to have earned the opportunity to get a spell of first-team football, made just a couple of appearances for the Causeway Lane side and will no doubt be disappointed to see his spell out on loan cut short.
