Mark Gillespie Joins Motherwell on a Two-Year Deal

Walsall goalkeeper Mark Gillespie has agreed terms with Scottish Premiership side Motherwell, as the Fir Park outfit look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
26-year-old former Carlisle United stopper made twenty-five first-team appearances for the Saddlers after joining on a free transfer last summer. The Newcastle-born 'keeper found his football limited during the second-half of last season as Liam Roberts made the number 1 shirt his own.

Mark, who had his Saddlers contract terminated by mutual consent, has penned a two-year deal with the Steelmen after agreeing terms on a surprise switch to Scotland.

Gillespie, who will wear the number 20 shirt this season, makes the switch North after just one season with the Saddlers with his move becoming official when the Scottish transfer window opens on Saturday, 9th June.
