Graham Biggs' Saddlers arrived at this afternoon's match onthe back of a superb five-nil victory over near-rivals Shrewsbury Town as goals from Dylan Parker, Joe Cairns and a Mitchel Candlin hat-trick saw them ease to victory over the young Salopians.
Before today's clash, bottom-of-the-table Morecambe's most recent outing saw them draw one-all with mid-table Preston North End. The young Shrimps have had a season to forget after winning just five of their twenty-three games.
Walsall continued their recent spell of form and defeated their struggling opponents by two-goals-to-nil as Ethan Freemantle and Dyan Parker, both of whom have been in free-scoring form as of late, found the back of the net with the Shimps unable to muster a reply.
Another decent result for the young Saddlers as they head towards the end of the 2017/18 campaign with a spring in their step.
