Zigor Aranalde Named Among Watford's New Coaching Line-Up

Former Walsall defender Zigor Aranalde has today been named among recently appointed Watford manager Javi Gracia's new coaching lineup as the Hornets boss looks to establish his style on the side.

Zigor joined the Saddlers in 2000 and went on to spend just under five seasons at the Banks's, winning promotion via the Millennium Stadium Play-Off final in his first year at the club.

Aranalde made over five-hundred league appearances during a career which saw him play for Hernani, Eibar, Atlético Marbella, Sevilla, Albacete, Logroñés, Sheffield Wednesday, Carlisle United, Almansa and La Gineta.

Aranalde was surprisingly released in the summer of 2005 after making over two-hundred first-team appearances and establishing himself as one of the more popular foreign imports to ply their trade in a Walsall shirt.

Since he retired from the game in 2010, 44-year-old Aranalde has worked as a scout for Brighton and West Brom and also as a coach at Spanish side Albacete.
