Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the press ahead of this afternoon's League One clash with Bristol Rovers and insisted that he and his team are relishing the chance to play so many games in so few days.
Jon, who was speaking via the Express & Star, said; "I love all games. It's all about matches, that is what we are paid for - to play matches and to entertain. We enjoy the battle so the more games the merrier for me. Our recovery started straight after Rochdale. Sunday for us is normally family day, we let the lads do some recovery themselves.
"But we got them in on Sunday, freshened them up with a few soapy massages and let them have Christmas Day off. Now they are ready for Bristol Rovers. There were a few knocks after Rochdale. But you’d expect a few after a game like that."
