Loan Watch: Sangha and Butterfield in Action as Rushall Face Stalybridge Celtic

Walsall midfielders Jordon Sangha and Kacy Milan Butterfield are currently enjoying an extended loan spell with local Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Rushall Olympic. You can find out how they got on in their latest outing, below.

After missing several weeks of action due to weather affected delays, the Pics finally returned to league action on Saturday afternoon as they travelled North to Greater Manchester where they faced Stalybridge Celtic.

Both Jordon and Milan, who recently extended their loan agreements at Dales Lane, were named in the starting line-up with manager Liam McDonald looking for his side to bounce back from the defeat his side suffered to Ashton United in the opening days of December.

Thankfully for the Pics a goal in each half was enough to earn a hard fought victory at Stalybridge's Bower Fold ground.

The home side took the lead after seven minutes of the first-half as an unfortunate Joe Hull headed the ball into his own net from a dangerous cross from the left wing.

The Pics were able to register an instant reply as they equalised just a minute later thanks to Andre Landell, who cut inside from the left wing before firing into the bottom corner from around 20 yards out.

McDonald's men the lead after fifty minutes of play as substitute Danny Waldron was on hand to turn home a Charlie Duke cross from the right hand side, seconds after smashing the crossbar from 30 yards out.

Pics keeper Jahquil Hill made several routine saves in the second half, but the home side were unable to seriously test the Bermudian, although an equaliser almost arrived in the closing stages, but the woodwork came to the rescue as a Celtic long range effort cannoned off the crossbar and flew safely over the bar.

Jordon Sangha completed the full ninety minutes while Milan Butterfield was replaced with around ten minutes of the match remaining. More all-important minutes for the Saddlers duo who continue to impress as they help the Pics get back to winning ways.
