LOAN WATCH: Walsall Duo Start as the Pics Take on the Pitmen

Walsall midfielders Jordon Sangha and Kacy-Milan Butterfield are currently enjoying an extended loan spell with local Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Rushall Olympic. You can find out how they got on in their latest outing, below.

Jordon Sangha and Milan Butterfield were again named in the starting eleven as Liam McDonald's Pics faced Hednesford Town in a local derby at Dales Lane.

Rushall started the game well and took the lead after nineteen minutes of play when Danny Waldron got in behind the Pitmen’s backline before pulling back perfectly for Richard Brodie, who shot first time into the bottom corner from around fifteen yards out.

Hednesford went on to level the scores just after the thirty-minute mark when winger Mason Walsh was played in by James Lawrie and he took the ball into the box before firing past goalkeeper Jahquil Hill.

Danny Waldron almost put the Pics back in front barely a minute later, when he latched on to a long ball over the top. His low shot was just kept out by former Walsall goalkeeper James Wren, who did well to make the save.

After being unlucky not to take the lead in the first-half, Hednesford finally went ahead after forty-nine minutes when the ball fell to Charlie Gatter following a goalmouth scramble and the big centre-back calmly tapped home into an empty net.

Rushall could have equalised on 88 minutes when a Jordon Sangha through ball found Zak Lily but the substitute’s shot was easily held by Wren as the Pitmen held on to take all three points.

The Saddlers duo were involved for the full ninety minutes, with Butterfield collecting a booking in the first-half. More important minutes for the Saddlers though a disappointing result as the Pics miss the chance to stretch their advantage over the bottom few sides.
