LOAN WATCH | More Minutes For Walsall Duo as the Pics Slip to Defeat

Walsall midfielders Jordon Sangha and Kacy Milan Butterfield are currently on-loan to local Evo-Stik Premier League side Rushall Olympic. You can find out how they got on in their latest outing, below.

The Pics, who had won four of their last five league games, were back League action on Saturday afternoon as Liam McDonald's side faced Ashton United at their Hurst Cross Stadium.

Jordon Sangha was named among the starting XI whilst Milan Butterfield had to make do with a place on the bench as the Pics looked to continue their fine run of form.

It was a tale of two penalties as Matthew Chadwick scored one in each half to earn a 2-1 victory for Ashton United over Rushall Olympic on Saturday afternoon.

The opening goal came on the twenty-five minute mark after Pics new boy Michael Williams fouled Alex Johnson in the box. Matthew Chadwick stepped up and fired the penalty past Jahquil Hill to make it 1-0.

The Pics' equaliser came just two minutes from the break, as a Charlie Duke cross found Brodie in plenty of space on the edge of the six-yard box. The experienced striker kept his cool and placed the ball past David Carnell to level the scores as the match reached half-time.

Disappointingly for the Pics, the home side took the lead again through another penalty just over ten minutes before full-time as Joe Hull fouled Liam Tomsett inside the box and Chadwick was again able to convert from twelve yards.

The Pics' task was made even more difficult just before full-time when defender Jordan Liburd was sent off for an incident off the ball.

Liam McDonald's side nearly grabbed a last ditch equaliser in stoppage time when Sam Whittall missed by inches with a header, but Ashton held on for a 2-1 victory.

Jordon Sangha played the entire ninety minutes and created a couple of openings along with forcing the 'keeper into a few saves of his own. Bermudian midfielder Butterfield wasn't used until the closing stages of the second-half, giving him very little time to make an impact.
