Walsall Swoop For Stratford Town Prospect

The Saddlers have snapped up Stratford Town prospect Dylan Parker, on a six-month deal.
According to reports on the Stratford-upon-Avon Herald website, Walsall have signed Stratford Town starlet Dylan Parker on a six-month deal following a successful trial.

The deal will allow Parker, who operates as a striker, to complete his current course at Warwickshire College, while also continuing his football development at with Graham Biggs in Walsall's youth academy.

Dylan joined Stratford at the age of five and has risen through the ranks, scoring plenty of goals until he reached youth team level at the start of last season. He went on to grab twenty-six goals in all competitions, and he has maintained that free-scoring form into the current campaign with thirteen in just six Youth games plus another twelve when turning out for Stratford in the Midland League.

Stratford Town Youth coach Nick Ballinger spoke to the Herald and praised the youngster as he takes a big step in his career, he said; "I’m really chuffed for the lad. He was brilliant for us last season which was his first at youth team level, and I always thought that he would be even better this time round.

"He has learnt a lot during his time with the youth team and I’m sure that he will improve even further at Walsall. It’s a great opportunity for him and we will all follow his progress with interest."
