International Duty | Candlin Call Takes Walsall Up to Six

Several members of Walsall's first-team squad have been called up for international duty.
With young striker Mitchel Candlin joining up with the England Under-18s squad, the Saddlers now have six players on international duty heading in to this weekend's League One clash with Plymouth Argyle.

Left-back Callum Cockerill-Mollett is currently with the Republic of Ireland Under-18s, while Liam Kinsella and on-loan West Brom defender Shaun Donnellan are with the Emerald Isle's Under-21s.

Midfield man Maziar Kouhyar is with the Afghanistan first-team and Donnellan's West Brom teammate Tyler Roberts is a part of Wales Under-21s squad.

Despite the call-ups manager Jon Whitney is keen for Saturday's League One clash with the Pilgrims to go ahead as he hopes to keep the momentum, built up over the last few solid performances, going as he and his team welcome Plymouth to Banks's Stadium.

Mitchel Candlin is available for selection as he has not been called-up for full international duty, but could be added to Steve Cooper's squad should one of the current line-up withdraw through injury.
