Jon Whitney's Saddlers have been named in Northern Section - Group E alongside Coventry City and Shrewsbury Town with one of the sixteen elite Under-21 sides to be added during the upcoming draw.

The Saddlers, Sky Blues and Shrews will come up against one of the following teams in the Group stage; Everton, Leicester City, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Stoke City, Sunderland or West Bromwich Albion.

The group stage fixtures will also be confirmed next Wednesday, with invited Under-21 teams to play all group games away from home.
