Whitney Looking Forward to Working With New Recruit Luke Leahy

24-year-old, Coventry-born Leahy, who can also play in midfield, joined Falkirk from Rugby Town in 2012 and has gone on to make over 150 first-team appearances, scoring twelve goals along the way.
Following the news that the Saddlers had secured the signature of Falkirk defender Luke Leahy, Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the 24-year old to the club.

Jon, who was speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, said; "Luke is somebody I have been looking at for the last year. I’ve kept tabs on him and seen a few of his games – we watched him at both of Falkirk’s play-off games in May.

"He made a great impression on me and he is someone with great potential. Luke used to play left-wing and he’s an attacking full-back. When we knew he was available we leapt at the chance to bring him in. He likes what we’re doing here, and I’m looking forward to working with him."
