The Smiling Saddlers and Compton Wolves Raise Over £47,000 For Worthy Causes

Walsall FC have confirmed that last month's match between the Smiling Saddlers and Compton Wolves raised over £47,000 for worthy causes.
Walsall Football Club have announced that last month's match, which saw the Smiling Saddlers take on the Compton Wolves in aid of Smile for Joel and the Compton Hospice, raised over £47,000.

The match, which took place at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 13th May, saw celebrity teams managed by Katie Price and Shayne Ward battle it out in front of the Saddlers faithful.

Walsall FC issued a brief statement via their official Twitter account confirming a total of £47,226 was raised for the worthy causes.

All proceeds raised from the event, which was organised by Sellebrity Soccer and sponsored by Tile Choice, will be split equally between the two charities.
