The draw for Round One of this season's Carabao Cup has taken place in the unnecessarily exotic location of Bangkok, and has seen the Saddlers drawn away from home.
Unless the fixture is selected for broadcast by Sky Sports, Jon Whitney's Walsall will take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Tuesday, 8th August, with kick-off scheduled for 7:45pm.
A total of seventy EFL clubs were in the draw with matches scheduled to take place during the week commencing Monday, 7th August.
Championship newcomers Hull City and Middlesbrough will join the competition in Round Two alongside the Premier League clubs that are not competing in Europe.
The draw was regionalised to minimise travelling time for supporters in the first round with seeding decided by a Club’s finishing position in the EFL.
