As the majority of the Saddlers squad enjoy an international break, manager Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists and offered an update on the injury status of Erhun Oztumer and Eoghan O'Connell.

The Gaffer has confirmed that playmaker Erhun Oztumer (ankle), who was recently named among the League One Team of the Season, and on-loan Celtic centre-back Eoghan O’Connell (hamstring) will both be out for a minimum of two to three weeks.

Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Jon said; "We hope they’ll still play a part this season but they’re going to be at least two to three weeks. They remain really positive and they’re in good hands with Marc. It’s just a matter of how they respond over the coming weeks."
